Before his tenure at CARE, he assumed the role of Head of MEAL at Action Contre le Faim (ACF) / Action Against Hunger. Kamrul has a proven track record of conceptualizing and successfully executing comprehensive MEAL Plans and Frameworks, as well as Project Management Plans (PMPs) for projects and programs spanning a broad financial spectrum, ranging from $30 to $130 million, in collaboration with major donors like USAID, DFID, EU, and ADB. Beyond his professional achievements, Kamrul boasts a portfolio of published works. Furthermore, he possesses proficiency in creating online-based data collection systems using tools like ONA, ODK, and SurveyCTO and expert in quantitative data analysis using SPSS, R environment, SAS, Excel, and Power BI. Mamun is an experienced development professional with over eight years of expertise in designing, planning, and implementing monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems, which include management information systems (MIS) and knowledge management. In July 2023, he took on the role of Manager-MEL and KM at the Health Unit of CARE's USAID-funded Community Nutrition and Health Activity (CNHA). Before this position, he served as the Technical Coordinator-M&E for the HIV Prevention Program (PWID Project) funded by The Global Fund at CARE Bangladesh from 2018. Mamun's previous work experiences also include roles as a Research Associate at the James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University, and as a Research and Advocacy Officer at the Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association (BNWLA). Mamun is an Anthropologist by education, having completed his graduation and post-graduation in Anthropology from Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh. During his tenure at CARE Bangladesh, he contributed to developing knowledge products for the PWID project, some of which have been published on the organization's website blogs and publications section. Additionally, one of his abstracts got accepted at the Harm Reduction Conference 2023 in Melbourne, Australia.
